These programs are mostly tailored to my computers here. There are some
problems with newer parallel ports. I have code to handle and will make into
these programs at some point. I also make the assumption that you have only
older standard parallel ports (uni-directional).

If both pin 15 and pin 13 are pulled high, this program will bring pin 2 high
for 10 seconds. All of this can be changed. This is very quick and dirty and
meant more for example to build apon.

I have not tried compiling the dos version. I have a program that I used with
another controller that I pulled ideas and code from. The linux version does
work. I have a version running my PC doorbell at work (don't ask). The linux
version does require the program to be run as root (as user or suid).

The hardware is simple to come up with. A relay driver on pin 2 works. Look at
the Semiconductor Mini Note book from Radio Shack. The input on pin 15 and 13
only need 5v dc to work. The best way is ground the pin with a 1k ohm resitor
and connect a switch with a +5v source.

Disclaimer: I take no responibility for what happens to your hardware. If you
don't know what to do find someone that does and ask them.

Thats it if you have any problems or need assistance let me know.
